Count Us In

City of Newcastle seeks to facilitate and support initiatives that make our city a more liveable and inclusive community for those who reside, visit and work here. In 2016 Council adopted our Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2016‐2019 to help guide and co‐ordinate our efforts towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

In consultation with the Disability Inclusion Advisory Committee, it was agreed to acknowledge International Day of People with Disabilities via the establishment of a pilot program of events and activities under the title of "Count Us In Newcastle" over the period of 27 September until 25 October 2019.

Count us in Newcastle program

The program includes a wide range of events and activities that demonstrates that Newcastle is a caring and inclusive community. Check the range of activities in our event program and we hope you join in.
