Community Place Making Grants

Community place making grants provide funding for projects, services or activities that promote and enhance a caring and inclusive community, and vibrant and activated public places.

Grants of up to $4000 are on offer in 2018.

  • Newcastle Active Walking and Cycling Festival - Newcastle Cycleways Movement
  • Interpretations of Time and Place exhibition - students from UoN School of Creative Industries
  • Shared Pear Community Co-op launch - Elermore Vale
  • Islington Park skate bowl art - Islington and Mayfield communities
  • Wallsend Park WWI Grove of Remembrance construction - Wallsend Historical Society
  • Hunter Wildlife Rescue education program 
  • Military bugle training for students - Newcastle RSL, Newcastle, Hunter School Performing Arts
  • Seniors smartphone and tablet training - ComputerPals Newcastle
