North Lambton- Acacia Avenue Dog Park

Stage One plan for Acacia Avenue Reserve
City of Newcastle is constructing Newcastle’s first fenced dog park at Acacia Avenue Reserve, North Lambton.

Stage 1 of the project commenced late May 2019 and will include:

  • 1.5m high chain-mesh fencing to create separate small and large dog areas.
  • Two shelters
  • 452 metres of accessible pathway
  • Two dog bubblers and dog dispenser bags
  • Signage
  • Tree planting and landscaped gardens
  • Informal gravel carpark.
The 8,760sqm fenced area will be built as part of the City’s Dogs in Open Space Plan and will include separated areas for large and smaller dogs.

The existing off-leash area at the Reserve's lower level will be retained.
