    Did you know the dot-dot-dot you put at the end of a text is called an ellipsis? From the Ancient Greek for 'omission' or 'falling short' its first use dates back to 1588. An ellipsis can be used to mean an unfinished thought, a leading statement, a slight pause, or an awkward silence.
