Instant homework help available online

26 May 2017

High school students across Newcastle can now access a free online service for help with their homework and guidance on good study practises.

Newcastle Region Library's 'Your Tutor’ service is available through the library's website from Sunday to Friday every week between 3pm and 10pm.

The service provides students with expert one-on-one guidance in English, maths and science, and help with research for school assignments.

Your Tutor mentors, all professional teachers and graduates of Australian universities, teach students valuable skills in guiding them to find answers for themselves.

“Local students deserve this kind of accessible education service,” Newcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes said.

"And we are pleased to give families the same benefits seen elsewhere around the country.

“It's easy and quick to connect, and the tutors are all specialists in their subject areas.

“Students can ask questions about English and request guidance for assignments on other humanities subjects, or go through maths or science problems they don’t understand.

"The service is also useful for parents who don't have enough time to help their children with homework or who simply don’t remember school curriculum content."

Young library members can connect anonymously by logging on with their library card number at home or at the library.

Students can sign in for free with their Newcastle Region Library card at:
