Mayfield Library is located in historical Mayfield, a north-western suburb of Newcastle. It takes its name from Ada May (born 1874) a daughter of the original landowner John Scholey. Today Mayfield Library serves the most culturally diverse suburb in Newcastle. The Library is situated in the busy Mayfield shopping strip and is easily accessed by public transport.
Mayfield Library will be closed from Friday April 19 to Monday April 22. Return chutes will be open and you can renew your items online
or via the library app. All Branches will be closed for the Easter period, normal hours resume on Tuesday 23rd of April.
Mayfield Library will also be closed on the ANZAC Day public holiday on the 25th of April. All Branches will be closed on this date and will return to normal operating hours
on Friday the 26th of April.
