Library Services

Our libraries provide a range of services for all members of the community: whether it be supervising your exam, arranging deliveries of books to housebound members, obtaining items not held in our collections or providing a venue for your group or organisation to meet.

Home Library Service

The home library service is a free service to connect temporarily and permanently housebound Newcastle City Council residents with the Library's collections.

Interlibrary Loans

If you need a publication which is not held by Newcastle Region Library, our Interlibrary Loan service can arrange for the item to be borrowed from another library on your behalf.

Venue Hire

Our branches house a variety of community spaces including childrens' and youth zones, quiet study areas, group study rooms and meeting spaces for hire, both for small and large groups.
