Newcastle Region Library offers a fun and dynamic range of activities that allow children to explore their creativity and provide early learning opportunities. Your library provides a welcoming environment for children and parents and activities are run for children of all ages throughout the year across our network of branches. Baby Book Time

Songs, rhymes and books for you and your baby. Our four week program '10 Minutes a Day' Baby Book Time runs at most of our library branches and is suitable for bubs 0 - 2.

Friday Fun at Beresfield Library

Songs, stories, music, games, fun and play for kids from 0-5.

LEGO® Club

Come along to our weekly LEGO® Club to share your skills, master cool builds and make new friends.

Readers Theatre

Serious drop in fun! No need to learn a script, make costumes or have special props.

Rock & Rhyme Time

These action packed sessions include songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes, dancing, simple stories and lots of action! Ideal for children 0 - 3 years.

Stories in the Street

A relaxed family story time with rhymes, songs, toys, puppets and stories. These sessions are on every Tuesday morning at 10am during the school term at Wallsend District Library.

Storytime

Our Storytimes introduce stories, songs, rhymes and craft to help prepare your little one for reading once at school. The sessions are suitable for ages 3-5 and run for 45 minutes.

Out Loud Bookclub

Join us for our fun, new after-school kid's book club. Each week we'll share favourite stories, play puzzles, quizzes and games, and relax with craft and colouring.
