The following research tools can be accessed from home or on-the-go with your library card. They can also be used in our branch libraries on the public access PCs or with our free WiFi. If you would like assistance in using these eResources or you need help with your research please contact us online or visit or call your branch library.

yourtutor
Students in Years 7 to 12 can now access a tutor online free with a Newcastle Region Library card. Whenever you're stuck with study, we'll connect you with an expert in your subject. All Maths, English and Science topics are included. Tutors are online Monday to Sunday between 3pm and midnight. You can also upload an essay or assignment draft to Your Tutor experts and get feedback within 24 hours.

To connect:

  • Go to yourtutor
  • Select 'Log In' from the top right corner of the screen
  • Select 'Find your library or school'
  • Under Libraries, locate and select 'Newcastle Region Library'
  • Enter your library card number, check the agreement box and select 'Sign In'
  • You're in!
