The finale of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship is coming to the streets of Newcastle with the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 set to take place 24-26 November 2017.
Below is a map outlining the track route, planned temporary pedestrian bridges, grandstands and areas of the city's east end that will be accessible only to residents and essential services during the event weekend. Click on map for a larger version.

Temporary race infrastructure
Installation will begin up to eight weeks prior to the event and includes the construction of pit buildings, race barriers and fencing, grandstands and viewing structures, pedestrian bridges and marquees, and other event specific items.
The removal of all event-specific items will start immediately following the event and will take up to four weeks. This also includes any restoration works.
The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 will be held from Friday 24 November to Sunday 26 November. Road closures will be in place 7am-7pm, 24-26 November 2017. For more information about the event including resident and business accrediation and access, please visit the Supercars website
