Sport and Recreational Facilities

Maryland is home to the large Fletcher Park providing a pony club and sporting fields. A small walking and cycle track runs along side Minmi Road. Maryland Drive Reserve and Tumpoaba Reserve are just some of the reserves in the wetland area. A skate ramp is also provided for youth.

History

Maryland was originally an agricultural area and residential development began in the 1970’s making it a relatively new suburb. Today, it is a family oriented residential area with an outlook on the wetlands.
