General admission to Newcastle Museum is free. Some special exhibitions and events have an admission fee.
Opening hours
Newcastle Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. It is closed on Mondays during NSW school term.
Booking groups
To ensure you have the best experience possible at Newcastle Museum, ALL groups need to book. This includes school and adult groups. Ask about our programs and tours.

Getting there
By Train
Newcastle's Civic Station is right at our doorstop. Visit CityRail for timetable information or call 131 500.
By Bus
There are bus stops on Hunter Street outside Civic Station. For more information visit Newcastle Buses or call 131 500.
By Car
The Honeysuckle outdoor car park is available nearby - parking fees apply.
