Laman Street update 1 Feb 2012
Work is continuing in Laman Street this morning. Due to the wet weather, work is being undertaken in cherry pickers to ensure the safety of all workers on site.
In accordance with the environmental management plan for the site, a fauna expert is on site and is inspecting all branches as they are removed for wildlife. Also, erosion and sediment controls (coir/eco logs) are in place to catch any debris before it enters the stormwater system.
Newcastle Police continue to provide support in Laman Street and Civic Park.
