Required documents
Documentation which is required to be submitted with a rezoning request includes but is not limited to:
- Written consent of all owners of the property to be rezoned
- Details of the property (address, lot, DP number)
- A map or plan of the property drawn to scale
- A completed 'request to amend the Newcastle LEP form' (contact council).
- Description of the site and surrounding area
- Details of surrounding properties and how the proposal will affect the surrounding properties and neighbourhood
- Information on how the rezoning will comply with the aims and objectives of relevant documents including the Lower Hunter Regional Strategy, Local Environmental Plans, Newcastle Urban Strategy, State Environmental Planning Policies and Section 117 directions.
- Information on the environmental, economic and social impact of the proposed rezoning.
- Details of public benefit Strategic justification for the rezoning
