Public exhibitions
Information is placed on public exhibition so you can provide your comment and input to Council.
Examples of things that are placed on exhibition include proposals relating to policy changes, development applications and strategic plans that impact on our city.
Any person may make a written submission to Council regarding the proposals. Submissions must be received by 5pm on the last day of the exhibition period.

Draft Amendment to Newcastle Development Control Plan 2012 - Section 5.03 Tree Management - Proposed changes to Section 5.03 Tree Management of Newcastle DCP 2012 to incorporate vegetation management provisions for the Callaghan Campus of the University of Newcastle.

Phase 2 Report High Speed Rail - The Australia Government has developed a second report about the objectives and scope of a high speed rail network on the east coast of Australia. The route is proposed from Brisbane - Sydney - Canberra - Melbourne and includes a station at Newcastle.

Night Time Economy Discussion Paper - The discussion paper includes 5 broad themes and poses a number of questions throughout the document to stimulate discussion and generate ideas on ways to grow, diversify and manage the night time economy in Newcastle.

Hamilton South Local Area Traffic Management - In November 2011, The City of Newcastle exhibited a draft Hamilton South Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Study and held a workshop to seek community feedback about a proposed plan for the area. A considerable number of comments were submitted and the report was revised to incorporate resident feedback.

Beresford Lane Newcastle West Proposed Traffic Direction Change - The City of Newcastle has received requests over the years from residents and businesses to reinvestigate the one-way traffic flow in Beresford Lane, Newcastle West. The requests have been to change the direction of the one-way traffic flow from westbound to eastbound.

Weekly Notification List
Council produces a Weekly Notification List which provides details on the development applications and planning proposals placed on public exhibition during the previous seven days.
The list gives details of the development proposal(s) and the time period within which you can make comment on the plans to Council.
Any detailed plans and supporting documents on exhibition are available for inspection at Council during the public exhibition period.
