Maryland skate park
Work is underway to upgrade the existing skate park at Maryland.
The final design is an adaptive reuse of the existing skate facility catering for all skating levels, bike and scooter riders.
Selected elements from the old skate park at Wallsend will be incorporated into the upgraded facility. The project design includes a street style skate path, seating, shade structure and a drinking fountain.
