Our beaches are very accessible by public transport. Nobbys Beach, Newcastle Ocean Baths and Newcastle beach are only a short walk (5 to 10 minutes) from Newcastle Central train station.
Newcastle is also home to the historic Newcastle Ocean Baths and Merewether Ocean Baths.
We have five swimming centres
Newcastle City Council has five Swimming Centres available for daily use for up to 40 weeks of the year.
Whether you are a swimmer, surfer or boogie boarder, you will find somewhere to enjoy your sport in Newcastle.
