Showerhead Exchange
The Hunter Water Showerhead Exchange Program is run in partnership with local councils and provides customers with an opportunity to save thousands of litres per year with one simple change.
Where and when can I exchange my showerhead?
If you are a Hunter Water customer, you can exchange your showerhead at any of the following exchange days, regardless of the council area that you live in.

What do I need to bring?
- Your old showerhead(s)
- A recent Hunter Water bill
- Proof of address (e.g. rate notice or driver licence)
What showerheads are available?
The showerheads on offer ranked the highest in terms of user satisfaction in a Choice review of water-efficient showerheads:
- Flexispray Bermuda II showerhead FREE OF CHARGE (RRP $68)
- Methven Satinjet showerhead for $50 cash only (RRP $199)

You can see the two available showers in action at the Ausgrid Smart Grid Smart City Centre at Honeysuckle, 10am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday.
Conditions and important information
- Up to two showerheads will be exchanged per property (two showerheads must be surrendered in order to receive two showerheads).
- Stocks are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
- The showerheads are not suitable for low pressure, gravity fed (in the roof) hot water systems and some instantaneous or continuous supply hot water systems. Ask your plumber to check the compatibility of your hot water system.
- Tenants must obtain the consent of their landlord or real estate agent to replace their showerheads.
