About Hunter Wetlands National Park

A sanctuary for wildlife in the heart of an industrial city, Hunter Wetlands National Park is home to a range of threatened species and endangered ecological communities, as well as their more common associates. Waterbirds share the park with osprey, green and golden bell frogs, and a range of threatened bats. Diverse habitats conserved within the park include saltmarsh, swamp oak forest, freshwater wetlands and coastal rainforest communities. Find out more
