Your participation in the Newcastle Liquor Accord demonstrates to the community that you and your business are good corporate citizens.

Does your Business serve or sell alcohol?

If so, then please consider joining the Newcastle Liquor Accord and help make our city a safer and more pleasant environment for everyone.

The Newcastle Liquor Accord is a partnership between Council, the NSW Police (Newcastle and Waratah Local Area Commands), the Australian Hotels Association, Hunter New England Health, the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing, the Restaurant and Catering Association and local businesses.

The objectives of the Accord are to:

  • Reduce alcohol-related harm and crime

  • Reduce the community alcohol-related resource costs including costs to police, council, health and licensees
