Community Place Maker's Small Grant Program
Have you got a great idea to improve your local park or street but need a few dollars to kick things along?
The Community Place Makers’ Small Grant Program is for you...
Your project idea needs to:

Benefit existing users of the place with potential to increase community use of place in a positive way
-
Result in a community benefit (physical improvement to place - activity, comfort, appearance. Social – community gathering)

Show evidence of collaboration and / or partnership
-
Involve community members in doing the project.
You may be eligible for a small grant of up to $1000.

Braye Park “Community Connects” pilot project was selected for $250 funding at the Ward 3 workshop on 8 October 2009.Site: Braye Park, Waratah
Vision: Build community connection with, and use of, Braye Park.
Actions: Inaugural Braye Park picnic; Stargazing and presentations from Newcastle Council and Awabakal LALC; Movies in Braye Park.
