Residents groups

Resident Groups meet on a regular basis to discuss issues and concerns about their area.

They have a constitution, an executive and local membership drawn from residents and/or ratepayers of the area.

They cover a wide range of issues affecting their area in particular, or the city generally.

Council provides each Resident Group with a contribution towards their costs for the year (eg venue hire and postage). Council also provides access to items such as Council business papers, media releases, draft policy and presentations from Council officers.
