Bulk waste pickups

Bulk waste is collected from the kerb every six months.

The collection takes place from 7:00am on the dates listed in the Bulk Waste Collection dates schedule (32kb pdf).

You will get a notice in your post box telling you about the service at least two weeks before collection day. The notice will outline how you should put out your waste. It is recommended that you read the information carefully and keep it handy for ready reference.

Put your household bulky waste on the outer edge of the footpath on Sunday evening prior to your timetabled collection.

There is a limit of one box trailer (1.8m x 1.2m) or two cubic metres of waste material per household.

Place all metal products and general waste in separate piles. Metal products such as old ovens and whitegoods make up 40% of bulk waste collected by the clean-up service. Metal waste that is placed in a separate pile from other waste will be recycled. All other bulk waste will be taken to landfill.

If you have non-metal items that could be reused, such as furniture, please consider donating them to organisations such as the Samaritans or St Vincent de Paul's rather than putting them out for the bulk waste collection.

Bulk waste is collected in two pick-ups at separate times - one collection for general clean-up waste and one collection for metal waste.

If you experience problems with bulk waste collection, contact Council's contractor on 02 4920 1455.
