Draft delivery plan and budget

Council has agreed to place the draft delivery plan and budget for the next 12 months on public exhibition for feedback from the community. The document is available  online, at Council's City Administration Centre and in the City Library.

Council currently manages an asset portfolio of $1.6billion. The draft budget has $45million earmarked for capital projects including resurfacing some of the city’s 786.8km of road network, maintaining 115 playgrounds, 236 sporting facilities and 589 garden beds as well as looking after Newcastle’s important natural assets which include 105,299 urban trees, 212.7 hectares of wetlands and 507 hectares of bushland. The plan is on exhibition from Wednesday 8 May to Wednesday 5 June.

The City of Newcastle will be asking pool users for feedback specifically about suggested operating times in the near future. If you would like to be included in this consultation please email jwestbrook@ncc.nsw.gov.au or phone 4974 5000. For all other feedback regarding the proposed changes, you are encouraged to provide an official submission.
