Newcastle has a reputation for being one of the best surfing locations in Australia. Surfing, body boarding and swimming are very popular activities. To check out current beach conditions see below:

During winter the lifeguarding services are from 8am-4.30pm, 7 days a week,at Nobbys, Bar beach and Newcastle ocean baths. All other Newcastle beaches are unpatrolled until the 20th of August when lifeguarding services will resume at all other locations. |
