Beaches are patrolled on Sundays by Surf Lifesaving Clubs for 30 weeks from 24 September 2011 to 22 April 2012.
Ocean Baths
Merewether Ocean Baths
Merewether Baths are open all year round (subject to maintenance and cleaning). The baths are patrolled from 9am to 5.30pm from 24 September to 22 April 2012.
Newcastle Ocean Baths
Newcastle Ocean Baths is cleaned every Wednesday during winter months and every Thursday from 6 October 2011.

6am to 9pm During daylight saving
6am to 4.30 pm Winter months 7 May 2012 to 19 August 2012
6am to 6pm Rest of the year
