New water playground
The City of Newcastle have now completed construction of the new aquatic playground at Lambton Swimming Centre.
The water playground replaced the previous playground and includes a play structure, large tipping bucket, water jets, concrete splash pad and waterslides.
Playground opening hours
Monday 19 March to Thursday 5 April: Monday to Friday, 11am to 1pm then as required; from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday and Sundays 11am to 4pm.
School holidays Friday 6 April to Sunday 22 April 2012: 11am to 4pm

Work has started on the new aquatic playground at Lambton Swimming Centre. Temporary fencing is in place and work on the excavation of footings have started. |

Drainage services have been plotted with pipework currently being installed. The ground works are expected to continue for the next four weeks while electrical and hydraulic services are installed. |

The pump room store is under construction and the play equipment is set to arrive from overseas at the end of November. Erection of the aquatic play equipment will start in December. |
