Council Subsidies
The Subsidy Program is an in-kind opportunity which supports the activities of not-for-profit organisations that benefit the Newcastle Community.
Requests for subsidy must be on the prescribed Subsidy Application Form and address the Subsidy Program Guidelines adopted by Council in December 2008.

A Microsoft Word version of the Application Form is available by emailing the co-ordinator.
Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your event. They will be assessed against the selection criteria on a monthly basis. Notification will be sent to applicants within 30 days.
Subsidy is available for these Council services
- Road closure
- Mobile Stage
- Printing at Council’s Reprographics Service
- Venue hire for Council venues:

- Civic Precinct: City Hall, Civic Theatre, Playhouse, Wheeler Place
- Cultural Facilities: Newcastle Region Art Gallery, Libraries, Museum and Fort Scratchley
