Alcohol Management Strategy
The purpose of the Alcohol Management Stategy is to reduce alcohol related harm and antisocial activity in the Newcastle Local Government area.

The objectives of the strategy are to:
- create a hospitable and safe environment
- create a diverse night time economy
- ensure LGA entertainment areas are safe and inviting
- reduce alcohol related violence and
- reduce antisocial behaviour and vandalism.
Extensive research was conducted, including community consultation to better understand the requirements of the strategy.
Plans include investigation into the use of CCTV in certain areas to improve security in the city.
