The Local Studies bookshop is situated in the Central Library in Laman Street, Newcastle & stocks a wide range of publications about Newcastle & the Hunter Region.

The Bookshop stocks biographies, histories, pictorial publications, even children’s books. A range of postcards is also available.A gift with a difference - the Celebration Pack combines nostalgia & history. People celebrating their birthday, anniversary, retirement or any special occasion can look back at the world as it was.Publications from the Bookshop can be purchased directly from the Local Studies Library or ordered from your local Newcastle branch library.
