Hunter photo bank is Newcastle Region Library's digital image database.
This important and diverse collection of people, places and events shows the beaches, the harbour and the city from the days of earliest settlement through to the present. It includes over 30,000 photographs, drawings and paintings of the history and cultural heritage of Newcastle and the Hunter Region. Also included are images from the Library's Rare Book Collection.

New images continue to be added to the collection. Donations of heritage materials are always appreciated. Indigenous Australians are advised that Hunter Photobank may include images or names of people now deceased.

Hunter Photobank is part of Newcastle City Council's Cultural Collections database. All images in the collection can be searched online.
