Bulk waste collection
We are changing the way household waste is collected. In 2011 we introduced the 3-bin system and in 2012 we are changing how household bulk waste is collected.
A new system will start from 1 March 2012. Property owners have two options for disposing of bulk waste
- request a self haul voucher to drop off of bulk waste at Summerhill Waste Management Centre OR
- utilise the on-demand booking system to organise a bulk waste collection
To use either of these services complete the online waste request form or call waste services on 4974 6066. Note: Waste services operating hours are 8:30am to 3:20pm.

Acceptable Materials
| X | Be tied, wrapped or boxed |
| X | Be less than 1.5m in length |
| X | Only include items reasonably handled by two people, e.g., small items of furniture, household whitegoods (doors removed), 1.5m lengths of carpet/linoleum, minor building waste, small car parts and scrap metal products. |

| X | Commercial Waste |
| X | Broken or shattered glass |
| X | Quantities in excess of 2 cubic metres |
| X | Household refuse |
| X | Tyres |
| X | Concrete, rubble, dirt or building construction waste |
| X | Hazardous / poisonous solid or liquid waste e.g. chemicals, asbestos |
| X | Items over 100kg |
| X | Glass items, windows or mirrors |
