Overview

Council at its meeting of 13 December 2022 resolved to progress with the exhibition of draft development controls and a proposed planning agreement concerning 23 Merewether Street and 8 Lingard Street, Merewether – known as Lingard Hospital Precinct.

A planning proposal to rezone the above subject sites to an infrastructure related use to reflect the hospital and amend supporting controls (height and floor space) has recently been exhibited. This planning proposal is not on exhibition.

A draft Development Control Plan and draft Planning Agreement have progressed as a result of submissions received on the planning proposal. Refer to the Council report for summary of submissions and responses for further detail.
