Music of the Guns back at Fort Scratchley

Fort Scratchley Historical Society presents Music of the Guns, Saturday 11 March at 6.30pm, featuring the Australian Army Band Newcastle and the Hunter Central Coast Wind Ensemble.
 
Both groups will perform separately on the night and then combine with musicians from the Hunter School of the Performing Arts for a rousing performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, when the guns of Fort Scratchley become part of the band.

Bring the family and a picnic, a small chair or rug and a bottle of wine (small eskies only) and enjoy the sights and sounds of this outdoor event on the Fort's grounds.
 
Gates open at 4.45pm for a 6.30pm concert, concluding at 8.30pm.
 
Tickets are $25 per person, on sale now only through Ticketek, in person, online or by phone at 4929 1977.

There will be limited parking in the Fort grounds. Passenger drop-off at the inner gate will be allowed. Overflow parking area on Nobbys Road will be open.
