Smart City Strategy 2017-2021

The draft Smart City Strategy is a four year framework which outlines Council's key priorities and actions to be delivered in its commitment to leading Newcastle's transition to a smart and innovative city.

The draft Strategy was on public exhibition from 29 May 2017 until 10 July 2017.

The Smart City Strategy was adopted by Council on 22 August 2017.

City of Newcastle acknowledges that we operate on the grounds of the traditional country of the Awabakal and Worimi peoples.
We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and continuing relationship with the land, and that they are the proud survivors of more than two hundred years of dispossession.
CN reiterates its commitment to address disadvantages and attain justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this community.
