Silveridge Community Centre

Silveridge Community Centre (the Centre) closed on Thursday 29 August 2019. The Centre has been closed indefinitely with temporary fencing and signage placed at the entrance due to structural integrity concerns.

City of Newcastle (CN) officers have been undertaking ongoing monitoring of the Centre over the last 12 months and our preliminary investigations indicate that the cause of these structural matters may relate to the building being in a mine subsidence area. It should be noted that there has been no specific asset failure or incident occur at this Centre and this action has been taken as a precaution.
