Council meets to discuss, debate and make decision on issues of public importance. The role of the governing body includes to direct and control the affairs of Council and provide effective civic leadership.

Public attendance at Council and Committee of Council meetings

Council encourages the community to participate in City decision making. As part of our Covid safe practices we strongly encourage member of the public to watch the proceedings of Council Meetings live as well as view past meetings via the Council Meeting webcasting page.

Agenda and Business Papers for Council and Committee of Council meetings

Business papers for Council and Committee of Council meetings are available on our website ahead of the meetings, no later than the day before the meetings take place.
