COVID-19: Information and Updates

18 Mar 2020

All City of Newcastle Library branches are open for you to visit as usual for the time being. However in order to do all we can to further limit the transmission of the virus in our communities, and to prioritise the wellbeing of visitors, staff and volunteers, we have made a decision to temporarily suspend all Library programs and events including talks, exhibition tours, children’s and onsite learning programs until further notice.

Meeting Rooms will still be available for bookings to the public.

Please know that even when you may be faced with having to be at home, Newcastle Libraries is here for you. We encourage you to download the free library app where you will be able to access the e-library from home, including adult and kids e-books, newspapers, magazines, music and movie streaming services, online learning and lots more.

We will provide regular updates on this page and by social media. For further information on City of Newcastle’s response to COVID-19 please see newcastle.nsw.gov.au/COVID-19.
