Our brand, new summer reads program, that has something for everyone

Newcastle Libraries has created an exhilarating summer reads program, that has something for everyone.

Running from December 2020 to February 2021 and entitled ‘Your Summer Stories’, the program encompasses a children’s summer reading challenge, with activities and grand prize, plus, an adult (incl young adult) summer reads program, featuring: a curated selection of 7 must read titles; points and prize earning challenges; and, a conversational podcast series featuring 7 Australian authors, exploring the themes of resilience, change and love. Your Summer Stories culminates in a sequence of bespoke events in February - so keep a look out for dates and booking information in early 2021.

HOW KIDS GET INVOLVED

To sign up your kids for the summer reading challenge and reward their reading, all you need to do is register using our new online reading and activity tracker - Beanstack.

Once registered and logged into the challenge, read 7 books and log them to earn a Beanstack badge plus entry into our grand prize to win one of three Kobo Clara eReaders, or runners up prizes of MacLeans book vouchers.
