Playing by the Rules
We don't want to be the fun police but we need to make sure we've got an even playing field. Here's some of the rules you'll need to be aware of.
Payments are due within 14 days of the date of invoice or by the due date indicated on the invoice.
We'll ask you to pay the application fee when we've received your completed application form. Assessment of your application won't commence until we've confirmed payment of the application fee.
The application fee is non-refundable.
Payment of any other applicable fees (including bonds) will be due prior to your approval being issued. Unfortunately we don't accept cash or cheque payments for bonds.
In the instance of a last minute booking (inside 15 days of your event date) full payment of all fees will be due before your approval is issued.
Cancellations and Refunds
You'll need to give us 12 hours prior notice (in writing) if you want to cancel your booking.
If we've already sent your approval and your ceremony is cancelled because of inclement weather (including forecast) we'll retain the application fee but refund all other usage/access fees and bonds (or all fees excluding application fee as negotiated) provided you let us know within 7 days of the date your ceremony was due to be held.
If we've already sent your approval and your ceremony is cancelled because you changed your mind or your ceremony is no longer proceeding, unfortunately no refund will be given.
If you withdraw your application or your ceremony is cancelled (for whatever reason) prior to us sending your approval, we'll retain the application fee and no further fees will apply.
Council may choose to cancel an approval in the following (or other) circumstances:
- Where a licensee is in breach of licence conditions
- Where damage to a space or facility could pose a risk to members of the public
- Where civil works are required
- Where severe weather could pose a risk to members of the public.
We'll look at these circumstances on a case by case basis and determine whether or not a refund will be issued.
Refunds will only to be given to the applicant. We'll need confirmation of your bank details in writing including the account name, BSB number and account number.
