You and any person with a financial interest in the application is required to disclose information about political donations and gifts.
Making a submission to CN on a planning application?
You and any associate are required to disclose information about political donations and gifts.
The information requiring disclosure includes:
- All reportable political donations made to any local councillor of CN.
- All gifts made to any local councillor or employee of CN.
This information needs to cover the period commencing two years before the application is made and ending when the application is determined.
Donations to a ‘local councillor’ includes a reference to a donation made at the time the person was a candidate for election to Council.
Donations and gifts made prior to submitting an application or submission
If the political donation or gift was made:
- within two years prior to the application or submission being submitted;
You must include a completed Political Donations and Gifts Disclosure Form with your planning application or submission.
Donations and gifts made after submitting an application or submission
If the political donation or gift was made:
- after you have submitted your planning application or submission; and
- before the application is determined;
You must provide a completed Political Donations and Gifts Disclosure Form within seven days of the donation or gift.
This form should be provided to the assessing officer of the application or submission.
In accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, it is an offence not to provide a disclosure of a political donation or gift where required.
