Roof replacement for Beresfield Library

Beresfield Library will be closed for a further 12 weeks to remove asbestos that has been encountered during construction. The Library will now re-open on Wednesday 13 June.

Council Street renewal, Cooks Hill

Newcastle City Council is upgrading the drainage in Council Street, Cooks Hill, between Dawson and Darby streets to reduce flood risk to residents, address road safety issues and tree management to reduce interactions with drainage infrastructure.

The Richmond Vale Rail Trail is proposed to run along the former Richmond Vale rail line between Kurri Kurri and Hexham and along the former Chichester to Newcastle water pipeline between Shortland and Tarro.

Each year up to five playgrounds are included in annual asset renewal works program.

Anderson Drive, Tarro - Renewal project

Council is undertaking watermain replacement and relocation, footpath construction and road rehabilitation on Anderson Drive, Tarro.

Harry Edwards Oval, Lambton - Field reconstruction

Council is reconstructing Harry Edwards Oval in Lambton to improve the condition of the sportsground.

Road Rehabilitation and Resurfacing
